ABSTRACT:

In this paper we propose a simple and robust algorithm for controlling the five most common and useful actions of a mouse (scroll up and down, right and left click and double click). We only use the in-built web camera of the computer to control all these mouse tasks. Firstly we detect the hand, segment it recognize it and count how many fingers then control the mouse. The result is a real-time finger detection that allows the user to interact with the computer without using extra devices.
